Each day throughout Black History Month we posted our BHM365 Series which showcased educational, inspirational and often surprising historical information about Black People's contribution to Britain. We have collated the series and created a learning resource so that you can discover or rediscover some historical and important knowledge about Black British history.

This downloadable set of 6 information cards can be used by KS3-5 teachers to explore the disproportional impacts on Black people.
These information cards prompt students to think about laws and policies beyond legal terms. It is extremely important for students to understand the full impact of laws and policies on groups in society, and the lasting effects that these can have on groups of people.
We recommend that these cards are used as prompts to support students to conduct independent research in class and at home.

This downloadable set of 12 information cards can be used by KS3 teachers to explore the impacts of British colonialism in a critical manner. These information cards prompt students to think about the British Empire beyond the explanations often given in textbooks, and as outlined in the national curriculum. It is extremely important for students to understand the full impact of the British Empire and how this has led to long term impacts in countries across the world.
We recommend that these cards are used as prompts to support students to conduct independent research in class and at home.
