OUR SERVICES
We partner with schools, educators, and education providers across early years, primary, secondary, and further education to help address systemic exclusion. We exist to ensure all subjects are expanded upon and treated as essential knowledge, not a seasonal focus
Through impact evidenced programmes, high-quality classroom resources, curriculum audits and anti-racism educator training, we equip schools with the tools to teach accurate and intellectually rigorous histories. Our work challenges dominant Eurocentric narratives and supports the development of education systems that reflect the full, complex, and interconnected histories of Black communities within national, European, and global contexts.
-

Young People
We work with children and young people across all stages of schooling. Our youth programmes - Springboard, National Ambassador Scheme and The Young Champions Programme are creative and center arts-based and inquiry-led learning approaches that encourage creativity, community leadership and dialogue. They equip young people with the tools to see themselves represented with dignity in history, develop identity and belonging and unlock the power to shape their communities.
-

Teachers
Our training and curriculum audits equips educators to teach Black history as essential knowledge & not an add-on or optional enrichment. Through practical, classroom-ready guidance, we build educator confidence and strengthen anti-racist school cultures.
Educators leave with clear, actionable strategies to embed Black histories and their school culture across school culture, reflected in our work with over 20,000+ educators and pioneering work with nations such as (DARPL) Wales, Camden Borough, Greater London Authority and international schools in Dubai.
-

Universities
We partner with universities and higher education institutions to drive systemic change around racial equity, anti-racism, and the meaningful inclusion of Black histories and scholarship. Our work includes training academic staff, professional services teams, supervisors, and students to recognise and challenge bias, lead inclusively, and take responsibility for transforming institutional culture. We collaborate with faculties, departments, and student bodies to embed Black histories across university life and advance curriculum transformation that moves beyond performative commitments toward lasting structural change.
-

Corporates
We partner with organisations to take meaningful action on race, representation, and inclusivity beyond surface-level commitments. Our work equips teams with the knowledge, language, and confidence to engage with issues of race and identity honestly and effectively in the workplace. We don’t just talk about diversity, we make it part of how organisations think, operate, and grow.

TBC Teacher Training Course
Our 2025 Teacher Training Course equips educators with the knowledge, language and practical strategies to challenge Eurocentric teaching and embed Black British history across the curriculum. Through structured learning, reflection and follow-up refreshers, teachers develop a strong understanding of intersectionality, inclusive language and culturally relevant pedagogy. The course supports sustained change in classroom practice, enabling educators to build inclusive learning environments that reflect the full story, not as an add-on, but as standard practice.
Why Partner with The Black Curriculum
At The Black Curriculum, we work with schools, education leaders, councils and organisations to ensure Black British history is taught as essential knowledge, not an optional add-on. Since 2019, we’ve championed the inclusion of Black histories across the curriculum all year-round, from early years through to further education, because the stories we teach shape how young people see themselves and each other.
Our partnership programmes - including tailored curriculum consultations, impactful teacher training, student workshops and youth leadership initiatives are rooted in research, lived classroom experience and cultural relevance. We support schools to embed inclusive practice, challenge Eurocentric narratives and strengthen racial literacy, creating learning environments where every learner is recognised, valued and empowered.
We value collaboration and co-creation. Working alongside educators, leaders and community partners, we tailor our support to your context and goals, ensuring meaningful, sustainable impact. Every partnership is delivered with care, expertise and a shared commitment to equity in education, because when we broaden what we teach, we broaden who belongs in the story.
