The Black Curriculum Event Series

The Black Curriculum Event Series - Monday 24 March 2025

The Black Curriculum is excited to announce the first of their in person and online event series from March 2025 to October 2025. With these events, we aim to engage the community in the different aspects of our mission and propel conversations and action in a positive direction.

In March, CEO and founder Lavinya Stennett will be kicking off our first event in Brixton, with a keynote on emphasising the importance of anti-racism and exploring the notion of diversity and inclusion in schools to support all students with a sense of identity, purpose and belonging. After the changing landscape of DEI and initiatives, The Black Curriculum believes it is crucial to hold discussions that remind us, and particularly those in education, about the importance of DEI initiatives and practices that support inclusion in the classroom.

The Black Curriculum understands that young people are most vulnerable and must be supported with trained educators, diverse curriculum and impactful programmes, that accommodate the gap in education, that The Black Curriculum is striving to amend.

We will then finish off the evening with a roundtable, inviting attendees to engage in meaningful conversation with refreshments and networking to close the evening.
