OUR SERVICES
We work with schools and education providers from early years to further education to ensure Black history is not an afterthought, but a core part of the curriculum. Our mission is clear: we're here to embed Black history into classrooms across the UK, equipping educators with the tools and knowledge to teach a truthful, representative history. Join us in shaping an education system that reflects the full story.
-

Young People
We work with young people from KS1 to KS5 to make sure Black British history, identity and culture are not just mentioned, they're taught, understood, and celebrated. Our sessions are dynamic and honest, giving learners the tools to see themselves in history and understand the world they live in today.
-

Teachers
Our training sessions equip educators to confidently teach Black British history not as an add-on, but as a foundational lens across the curriculum. Through scaffolded, practical guidance, we strengthen pedagogical understanding, build teacher confidence, and refine language use to ensure accuracy and respect. Teachers leave empowered to create inclusive, grounded learning environments and implement clear, actionable methods for integrating Black history into everyday teaching and school culture. We train educators to lead classrooms that reflect the full story unapologetically.
-

Universities
We partner with universities to drive real change around diversity, anti-racism, and the inclusion of Black British history. Our work includes training staff, supervisors, and students to challenge bias and lead inclusively, and collaborating with student unions and departments to embed Black British history across university life and support curriculum decolonisation.
-

Corporates
We partner with organisations to take meaningful action on race, representation, and inclusivity beyond surface-level commitments. Our work equips teams with the knowledge, language, and confidence to engage with issues of race and identity honestly and effectively in the workplace. We don’t just talk about diversity, we make it part of how organisations think, operate, and grow.

Springboard
Springboard is an arts-based workshop programme that places Black British history and self-expression at the centre of learning for KS2 students. Through music, poetry and storytelling, students explore identity, creativity, and truth not as side topics, but as essential parts of education. Delivered in schools by our educators, Springboard ignites curiosity, builds confidence, and empowers young people to see themselves reflected in the stories they learn. We work with councils and academies to bring Springboard to more classrooms, ensuring that Black history and culture are taught with pride, creativity, and purpose.
Why Partner with The Black Curriculum
At The Black Curriculum, we don’t just deliver educational services—we help schools transform the way they teach, engage, and empower. Our assemblies, workshops, teacher training, curriculum consultations, and youth programmes are crafted with precision, passion, and purpose. Each offering is rooted in the belief that Black British history is not a niche topic, but a vital part of every learner’s journey. We work directly with educators, leadership teams, and students to embed inclusive practices, challenge outdated narratives, and build environments where every student feels seen, valued, and inspired.
Whether you’re looking to enrich your curriculum, upskill your staff, or spark meaningful conversations among students, our programmes offer more than just content—they offer impact. From interactive assemblies that boost identity and confidence, to curriculum audits that reshape how subjects are taught, to CPD training that equips staff with practical tools for anti-racist education, we provide scalable, high-quality solutions tailored to your school’s needs. Our youth programmes, like the National Ambassador Scheme, go even further—offering career development, creative expression, and long-term mentorship for young people ready to lead change.
We understand the pressures schools face, and we’re here to make this work achievable, relevant, and rewarding. Every session is delivered by qualified educators with deep expertise in Black British history and inclusive pedagogy. Every resource is designed to align with the National Curriculum while expanding it to reflect the richness of Britain’s multicultural heritage. And every partnership is built on collaboration, care, and a shared commitment to equity in education.
Let’s redefine learning together. Book your session, consultation, or programme today—and take the next step toward a more inclusive, empowering educational experience for your students and staff.
